I picked up a Japanese textbook at Tsutaya. It's 200 Essential Japanese Expressions: A Guide to Correct Usage of Key Sentence Patterns. This book gives many examples of the sentences pattern each lesson focuses on. However, there is very little English. All the kanji has it's reading written above. The book is about 200 pages long and seems to be really good.
