We managed to head over to the Koriyama Library about an hour before they closed. It stays open until 5 p.m. on Sundays. I renewed the kanji book and picked up Tonari no Totoro manga and another Japanese textbook. I've nearly read half of the first manga since there is little Japanese in it. It's mostly pictures. The Japanese in it is very easy to understand. The textbook I picked up is suited for reading. It tells the story of a typical Japanese family. There are key points throughout the chapters on culture and grammer. Though, this book is very thin on English. Much of the English in it is primarily in the glossary. What's really good about it is it forces you to really dive into the written language.
