It was nice spending at least New Years' Eve with my folks. Though, the trip is short, it really did feel good to be home again. The weather was much warmer too and even made it to the beach for a walk. Anyway, it was a little depressing watching Dick Clark on the New Years' countdown. I never knew he had a stroke. And supposedly he's doing much better. However, it's was strange since he's always been the New Years' Eve announcer as long as I can remember. Reflecting on that and all that has happened after leaving JET makes me realise that it's nearing time to move on to something better for my life. That something better would be a stable and rewarding job, living in a nice area and trying to "settle down." So, once again, I will be sending out resumes while wrapping up my short contract. Hopefully, I can land a position sooner than later.
