I suppose the effects of Delta's bankruptcy is being felt. The meals were not what was listed and the staff as a bit more curt. I've not seen nor heard what is going on with Delta, but I do know that if they were to be shut down, Atlanta would lose many jobs. Well, you still have Coke and Turner there, but Delta does provide most of the airport area a lot of business. The near 15-hour flight had only 1 redeemer: window seat. I've noticed there is just a tad more room next to the window. Unfortunately, I still did not get enough sleep.
After getting off the plane, going through customs and even exchanging money, we still had to wait to catch a 5 hour bus back to the apartment. I was surprised at the exchange rate in Narita. The last time I exchanged money was before I ever set foot on Japan's soil and got a very bad rate at the airport. This time, Mizuho bank at the airport and offered the best rate I've been able to get since my return. Maybe the dollar is declining again. Anyway, after returning to a very cold apartment, 4 degrees Celcius, we unpacked a few things and crashed.
